[Kate Martin]

Kate walked around the mall she needed to buy some shirts and pants. Everywhere she went, there was nothing she liked. She continuely walked. She then tripped on her own feet and feel on her face. She sat up and walked to a bench and sat. That hurt... Hopefully no one saw that landing hahahaha.

"There's nothing good... to buy here..." she muttered and loked around again. Her shoes were untied but of course she didn't know. She sighed and then stood to continue on her jouney to buying clothes. She walked and moments later infront of a shop again tripped and fell on her face.

"Instead of joking on her, one of you 'gentlemen' should say something," the girl said dryly, twirling around a strand of lightly hued hair the color of soft bronze. "Otherwise, if I hear another giggle, she'll be looking over here laughing when she says a girl just punched some guy in the face."
"Seriously, Nesa," one of the guys in the group said.
"Excuse me? I think I've told you before my name is VA-nesa."
The girl began to pull of the sleeves of her thin black hoodie, eyes starting to narrow as she stared at her brother's friend, who was starting to cower just slightly behind him.
The brother, a tan male with a soft face, gentle brown eyes, and short black hair that spiked off in different directions, gave a small sigh as his sister advanced. Holding his arm out, he grabbed her by the waist just as she prepared to lunge at his friend. "Vanesa, play nice," he said with a sarcastic tone, though his eyes were being serious.
Vanesa, unlike her brother, was not much of a "people" person after a certain incident that changed her life. Going on outgoings has always been hard on her, and trying to get along with others has also been a challenge. "Just tell him to keep his mouth shut," she whispered, trailing off behind the two.
The guy shrugged, looking up ahead again at the girl they watched trip. The first time, she got up and sat down. However, as he approached her and was preparing to tell her that her laces were undone, she stumbled and landed on the floor again.
"Hey!"
The male run over to the fallen female, leaning down slightly and checking over her to make sure she wasn't injured. Figuring she didn't do anything too serious to herself, he offered her a hand. "Excuse me... I think your shoe has been untied for quiet some time. That may have been the reason as to why you fell..."

Crap... someone saw... She thought she sat up, she didn't expect him to be so close and back up a bit. She then stared at her shoes. She took off her shoe along with her socks and shoved them into her bag and pulled out a pair of flip flops. She stared at the hand he offered her. Her cheecks were slightly pink embarrassed that he saw her. She took his hand and stood. "T-thank you..."she muttered softly. now she just needed to find a shop that had nice clothes and clothes that she liked. Everytime she came to shop for clothing or anything it took her over an hour just to get 1 thing, that really annoyed her.

She looked behind her and saw 2 others?! Man guess 2 males and a female saw her. She wasn't really clumsy, but sometimes she just tripped she hated tennis shoes they always made her trip so she always had a pair of flip flops in her bag. Should she continue shopping now? She was getting tired of shopping really really tired. She had been walking around looking for some good clothes but didn't find any.

"I'm... Kate.. Kate Martin... Nice to meet you..." She said. She just introduced herself. She didn't know what else to say so she gave a small smile a shy smile.

Once she was standing again, the male slowly moved his hands into the pockets of his dark denim jeans. Gentle eyes observed her silently, trying to pick out certain things he noticed. For instance, she seemed to be slightly hesitant, or just nervous. Whether it was from him being so close or from the fact that she was embarrassed to be seen falling, he really couldn't tell. The girl also looked a bit exhausted...
After she had introduced herself, he pulled a hand from his pocket to motion to the other two. "The guy beside the girl over there is my friend Daniel and also one of my soccer teammates."
The guy gave a slight nod in her direction, before he started to look around them again.
"The girl there is Vanesa, my younger sister."
The Hispanic female looked over at the mentioning of her name, crossing her arms over the now unzipped black hoodie. She was wearing a fitting white tank top under it, which stopped slightly above her belly button. Her brown eyes hardened slightly as she observed Kate, before finally turning her head away.
"Pleasure to meet you," she muttered in the same dry tone.
"Don't mind her," the male said softly to Kate. "My sister isn't... The friendliest of people. But she isn't entirely mean... She was standing up for you moments ago after you had fallen. She actually almost punched my friend when he started to laugh a little."
Vanesa gave a loud snort, tossing her hair as she turned her back to the group.
"As for me, my name is Adan," he held his hand out to her. "Its nice to meet you, Kate."

"It's nice to meet all of you." She replied and continuely smiled. He has siblings lucky... she thought as she stared at Venesa. When Adan told her that his sister wasn't the friendliest she tilted her head to one side thinking for a bit before looking up at Adan. Wow... Vanesa is pretty... and Adan is cute.. She thought to herself. "So... you play soccer is that the only sport you play?" She asked. She wanted to get to know them. Waned to be friends with them, she was careful with guys though since her old school guys always tried to get girls to do it with them. She kind of foundout that her new school it wasn't really new but it was still kind of was. She still didn't really know the place well, and since she had moved a few months ago to live with her cousins. She smiled she knew that guys here she met so far wasn't like that. Well...this never happened she never thought any guy wre cute. She thought girls were but she never thought guys were cute or hot and wanted to get to know them. Well.. she always wanted to ge to know new people she met that was her.

"Hey bro, Ima head off now, alright? My dad sent me a text saying he needed me for something," Daniel called out to Adan just as he was putting his cell up and pulling out his car keys from his pocket. "I'll catch you later."
"Alright, later Daniel," Adan called back, noticing that his sister was walking off on her own somewhere. "Vanesa, where are you going?"
"There's a craft store in here." The female stopped, turning her head just slightly to glance at her brother. "I want to go look for new pencils and a few new pads."
"Alright, well I may still be around here. If not call me and I'll tell you where I went off to."
Vanesa nodded, facing her body back in the direction she was going and walking off without another word.
Adan sighed, his head drooping just slightly as his hand brushed through his dark, ebony hair. He really did worry about his sister sometimes. She used to be a lot happier when they were young... He feels like its almost impossible to get her anywhere near that state again.
"Okay... Well guess its just you and me," he said to Kate, his soft brown eyes falling onto her form once again before glancing off to the store they were in front of. "Were you getting ready to go in here?"

"Nope... I was seeing if there were any good clothing store, apperently there isn't.." she replied. "Cousin's are no help either.." she mumbled to herself. She looked up at the male infront of her and gave a small smile. "... what about you?" She asked. She didn't really know what she was suppose to say. As said before she was unfamiliar to this.

"Not really looking for anything," Adan replied, crossing his arms across the broad, muscled chest hidden beneath a plain black t-shirt. "My friend said he really wanted to go to the mall to look for new cleats for soccer and close for school...." He paused, feeling a little retarded at that moment.
"Hold on... Sorry... You asked earlier if soccer was the only sport I played. I guess I got caught up with the departure of my friend and sister that I forgot to reply to that." He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling a little flustered with himself as well as slightly embarrassed.
"Soccer is my favorite sport. I play it for the school as well as during my free time. However, I also play football. Both are pretty physical... I enjoy them." Adan gave a quick smile, returning back to what he was originally saying before.
"So, as I was saying, my friend pretty much made me come along cause he didn't want to come to the mall by himself. He was already on his way, so I drove up here and made my sister come along since I figured she needed to get out of the house today and stretch her legs." The tan male looked at the store beside them, back to Kate, and shrugged.
"Guess I just came to the mall to walk around. Not really in the mood for buying anything."

Kate just nodded. "I see..." She said. She didn't know what to say now. "So..." She started but didn't finish she didn't know what to ask. When he talked about sports she was all ears. "For me... I guess I like all sports... track and field, tennis, basketball..." She said and then shrugged. "What school do you go to?" she asked. Why was she the one asking questions? then again she was always been the one asking well... most of the time.

Adan, taking a few steps back so he could lean against the outside wall of the store they were in front of, nodded slightly while she spoke. The girl seemed to take somewhat of an interest in sports, which was a nice thing. Most girls never really care for sports. It was always make-up, jewelry, clothes.... Just girl stuff, which sometimes made it hard for him to be around them.
It was probably because he was so use to how Vanesa is. His sister is far different from other girls. She paints her nails when she feels like it and allows the nail polish to chip. She'll buy clothes when she needs it or if something /really/ catches her interest. But for the most part, she's always buying stuff for drawing and to mess with her skateboard. She only looked for the basic, never really had an interest in jewelry and other girlie things. Her style was between that of a tomboy and female, and many guys admired her for that.
But not all girls needed to be like her. Kate seemed alright. Maybe a little hesitant and unsure of herself, but he was sure he could get along with her.
Just as he was about to ask her if she played any sports, the female before him asked about the school he goes to.
"This is my senior year at Breeze High, and my sister's junior year." Arms lifted up slightly, muscles tightening all over his body briefly before relaxing as he stretched.
"What about you? I don't think I've seen you at Breeze High, so I'm guessing you go to a different school, right?" he asked, his eyes focused upon her while speaking.

"I'm a junior in Star High." She replied and shrugged. "I'm acaully glad that I'm away from my town or at the school. Just thinking about it made her shudder. "I'm curious though.. does your sister act that way to everyone?" she asked. "Or is it to certain people..." She was curious she wanted to know why the girl acted the way she did. It didn't have to have a reason but most of the time it did.

"Ah, I knew I hadn't seen you around," Adan replied as she mentioned going to Star High. He'd been over there a bit due to soccer and football games.
Then, the subject completely changed. The male wasn't really expecting it, but stuff relating to his sister had been brought up quiet a bit before when they were together and met new people.
"Vanesa... Has been that way since shortly after elementary school. I'm just glad she talks now..."
Adan's tan fingers felt along his neck, reaching the back and stopping there. He did that a lot when he was worried or thinking too much, and whenever he talked of his sister, he tend to do it a lot. "She was really a happy little girl... But something happened to my family and she really felt the effect of it. I, for the most part, try to push it to the back of my mind and keep living life, like my dad."
Gentle eyes glanced up at her. Hidden beneath the soft brown hue was pain that he was trying to keep locked away. Pain that he hardly showed.
"I'm hoping one day she'll be like how she used to... But she just doesn't have the will to find any happiness at the moment."

ah.. I knew there was a reason behind it. She thought as she looked up at him. "Sorry if I brought up something you didn't want.. to... bring up.." She said. She stood there not really knowing what to say anymore or ask. What was she suppose to say after that? Her brain just died on her after Adan explained to her.

His eyes searched her face as he leaned against the wall, silence starting to creep over him. 'Now is not the time,' he thought to himself, trying to focus on other things. 'You'll figure this out with time, but right now isn't the moment to dwell upon the past.' Adan's head slumped down slightly, as if he were defeated. However, it took a second before he perked up again.
"Don't worry." A smile lit his features as he rubbed his head through his dark, nightly black hair. "I'm fine."
Wracking through his brain, he tried to quickly think up of something else they could converse about. It didn't take long. Adan was the kind of fellow who was quick on his toes.
"You mentioned earlier that you like sports. Do you happen to play any?"

ooc: Didn't mean to take so long to reply. I've had a major migraine the past couple of days so its been really hard to focus.

Kate watched the male that was before her. "I play basketball, tennis at school and other sportsfor fun with friends..." She explained. If you have any... she thought to herself smiling to hide her emotions.
