There were no records of the Carnival of Fears but the township of Oakwood made no fuss as the unregistered circus set up their tents and rides in the park. The Indiana town had been void of excitement for so long, that they could not pass it up. Large stripped tents towered over the buildings, strange characters and eerie music filled the streets.
It was a huge success and the carnival came back every summer, putting the small town on the map. Vacationers rush to see the acclaimed carnival, but the towns folk are a bit more wary. Some had even grown to hate the carnival. Sure the tourism helped the economy, and the rides gave them something to do, but over the years, people have gone missing.
Some say people were simply kidnapped,
brainwashed into the band of travelers
Others say they were turned into zombies
Still others say they were killed
Are there really ghost under the big top?
