Clarity felt a smile tug at her lips, looking over his arms. "You can probably paddle out better then me," she replied. "I've always had natural balance. Getting on a skateboard and riding wasn't hard at all. So balancing my body on a surfboard wasn't much of a challenge, especially when I found the right size board for my height."
Her soft brown eyes shifted, looking down at her tanned arms. There was some muscle, but she was more powerful with her legs then she was with her arms. "Paddling out through the break is pretty tiring... It took me forever to get out pass the break. After doing that and I was out where the ocean was calm, I was pretty much to exhausted to paddle anywhere."

Forrest grinned. "Well...okay, so maybe I /can/ paddle. At least you made it through /and/ was able to get on. Heck, I fell off right after I passed the wave." And yet again, he frowned slightly. "I'm still learning so...hopefully I can do better." But then...there was something bothering him; more like tugging at his heart. So, they said that they liked each other....wasn't something supposed to happen after that? Forrest scratched his head in puzzlement.

"So...well, now what?" It certainly was different from all those movies he watched that had mushy romance scenes. But then again, life was a happy ending....well at least not /yet/.

Claire sighed softly, releasing his hand and allowing both of her hands to reach for his face. "Do me a favor," she whispered, placing her forefinger softly against the corners of his mouth and pushing them upward to create a smile. "Stop frowning. I like it better to see you smile."
For a moment, she just stood there, looking into his eyes. Her heart was thudding like crazy again. She knew how she felt about him... And she was pretty sure about his feelings toward her. There was something she wanted to do, but she found herself being afraid.
Clarity released her fingers from the corners from his mouth, placing her hands onto his shoulders. 'Should I?' she thought, feeling slight heat rush through her face.

Forrest blushed, his heart racing, the blood rushing to the familiar place of his cheeks. Even close contact with her fingers made the chilling sensation flood through him. The butterflies fluttered back in and he felt breathless. Unable to even let a word let alone a reply, Forrest nodded. And then...the shoulders. At that moment, he felt his throat incredibly dry, a tingling nerve upon him. Was this what...what he was /waiting/ for? Was this the answer to his question?

Forrest held his breath waiting...for his /expected/ outcome. But...did Claire want the same?

'He wants it... We both do.'
The same thought echoed through her head over and over again as if growing desperate to try and urge her forth. But... She couldn't. She seemed frozen, almost as if in fear. Clarity knew this was it, that this feeling was right. No one else has /ever/ made her feel something like this before... An unmistakable happiness.
"Forrest..."
Her mind was set. /She/ was going to do it.
"I'm thankful my mom forced me out of the house today..." A shy smile played its way onto her features, and she gaze directly in his eyes. 'Just do it,' she told herself.
Standing on her toes slightly to reach him better, Claire slowly moved her face toward his. She closed her eyes, hesitating just as her nose rubbed up against his. Her fingers tightened their grip lightly on his shoulders as she enjoyed feeling his skin. Then, she did it. Gingerly she touched her lips to his, waiting for his reaction.

Time itself seemed to have stopped as Forrest felt the lips against his own...the lips that he had expected. A spark erupted and he felt enveloped in sensational emotions. A storm of passion swelled in his heart as he leaned into the kiss. Had everything felt so..../right/? Surely it had to be fate that had brought upon them together. And it felt such as a coincidence. Their first meeting and already he felt that she was the right one. How he wished today could never end.

The thudding of her heart was so strong now, she was waiting for it to explode from her chest. There was no reason to blush now, no reason to be shy, and nothing to fear. /He/ was all she needed and everything she wanted.
'If I'm dreaming, don't every let me wake up,' she thought, feeling him lean in to her kiss, causing her to push herself closer to him. Her fingers loosened grip once more, leaving his shoulders this time. She allowed her purse to slide off her arm, giving her free motion to wrap her arms firmly around his neck.
Her lips never once left his... She didn't want them too. Once they touched and he leaned in for more, the world itself seemed to no longer exist. It was just him. And she was perfectly fine with that.

All the world had vanished in his eyes. Everything...nothing else except her. Liked a fading picture, the surroundings were gone...it was just them. The continuing rhthym of his accelerating heart thudded in his ears, never once slowing down. And just as he felt a solid pair of arms around his neck, his body immediately reacted. His hands slung around her mid-back and snuggled there. He leaned in even further if it had been possible. Blood never left his cheeks.

The fact finally soaked in, and she willing accepted it. There was no other explanation for this. She felt as if she knew him her whole life and she has been waiting years to receive this kiss. She felt that he was made for her. She felt complete with him.
When his hands moved and pressed to the small of her back, she couldn't help but press her body to his. Besides the beat of her own racing heart, she could definitely feel his pulsing on her chest. Now she knew this moment was more real then before. Nothing between them was fake.
It has taken her years to find him, and just an instant to fall in love with him.
As they kissed, she moved one arm, raising in just slightly so that her fingers could run through his hair. 'You seemed to do that a lot when you were nervous,' she thought as her fingers slowly pushed their way through the male's dark hair.

He felt her hands rake against his scalp and he felt strucks of bizarre emotions. All of a sudden, he felt dizzy, the world was suddenly fading into blackness. And she was fading as well. No...she couldn't leave...not when he confirmed his inevitable feelings for her! He held his hand out and suddenly felt the soft lips fade. Illuminating colors flashed back as he realized that he was lacking oxygen. He breathed heavily, feeling embarrassed to break away from his first kiss so soon.

Clarity watched him as he pulled away slightly, taking a breath. Her eyes were full of concern, but after a moment, she smiled again. "Its a good idea to breath," she said softly as she pressed her lips to his cheek, holding her arms tightly around him. Claire found herself worrying that it really was a dream, but she knew it couldn't be. Everything was so real. He /is/ real.
Arms slid down to her sides, fingers eagerly reaching out to twine with his. "I'll never go away," she said so softly it was almost unaudible. "I promise..."
After she said those words, she knew that it was something she could stay true too. All the love stories she ever read in her life, all the movies she ever seen that had the romantic endings... She never could really understand the emotions that two could feel when they really cared about each other. She never could, until she saw Forrest struggling with his jacket.
"I've spent time trying to figure out what it felt like to really care for someone. I've dated guys off and on, but never really wanted much to do with them."
She leaned forth once more, kissing his cheek a few times as she made her way to his left ear, where Claire whispered, "For years, I've been waiting for you. And it took only a matter of moments to fall in love with you."

His face, fully red like a tomato, but despite that Forrest grinned softly. "Y-Yeah..." Somewhat flustered as he felt her breath against his red ear, he listened to her soothing words and the brunette relaxed a bit. It was true after all. She was the one he needed in his life...that hidden emptiness that had only recently been shown was gone. Forrest wrapped his arms gently around her waist; not too tight...he felt as if she was glass...fragile and about to shatter if he squeezed too hard. And then realized...their hearts were like that.
Forrest softly breathed against her bare neck. "Yeah...I promise that I'll try my best to make you happy. And smiling always," he whispered.

Claire laughed silently as his breath caressed her neck, brushing some of her long, light brown hair away from her face. "I'll do the same for you," she beamed, pressing one of her hands gently against one of his cheeks.
"I'll remember to thank mother once I get home," she said softly, joking with herself as she glanced at the ground before staring up into Forrest's eyes again.

Forrest grinned and released his hands from her waist to gently grab her hands. His fingers entwined into hers...like a perfect match. He smiled still somewhat shyly and glanced at her hazel brown eyes. Even so, he couldn't help but be relaxed and anxious at the same time. He was himself around her but...he wanted to leave a certain impression. And he wasn't sure what that exactly was. Maybe a good guy that was there when she needed him? Something along the lines of that probably. The day felt as if it had been a dream...or a type of movie. Forrest was afraid that it would all too soon end quickly...and she would fade away within his vicinity. Forrest shuddered at the thought of that.

No thoughts of that right now! He relaxed a bit after internally assuring himself a couple times. Forrest looked up at her. "So...what should we do now?" he murmured.

Her eyes stared at him for a moment longer, before finally leaving his face and studying her surroundings. The sun was still shining beautifully, and only a few clouds dotted the sky now. There were still plenty of people at the park, all laughing and enjoying themselves on this gorgeous day.
"Hm...," she mumbled absentmindedly, still glancing around. Suddenly, an idea popped into her head and she started to grin mischievously. "I know what we can do." With a little regret showing on her face, she slowly un-twined her fingers from Forrest. Leaning down, she picked up her purse and headed off to a bench nearby, placing her bag on it. Claire figured she would stay within the boundary of just how well she could see her bag, which was fine with her. She had plenty of space.
Heading back over toward Forrest, a grin started to show on her features. Slowly, one hand came out and reached for his arm. Once in contact, she gave a silent giggle of amusement. "You're... IT!" Suddenly, she took off toward a nearby tree, sprinting as fast as she could, taking a quick glance behind to see if Forrest would make pursuit of her.
